Happy New Year - 2026!
Dear Faith Life Church Family,
Happy New Year! As we step into 2026 together, our hearts are full of faith and expectation for what God has ahead. This year’s vision—“Stay Fixed on the Word in ’26”—flows directly from the message we began last Sunday, reminding us that before God moves His people forward, He fixes their focus. Like Joshua in Joshua 1, we are called to be strong and courageous by anchoring our lives to God’s Word, refusing to drift with fear, compromise, or the pressures of this world.
As Pastor Bruce and I were praying in the new year we had some things come across our spirits specifically for you:
While 2025 may not have been your “ideal” year, the Lord wants to remind us of that EVER-living ALWAYS applicable Scripture in Isaiah 43:19, “Don’t you see, I am doing a new thing, the older things have passed away…” There is nothing that God’s grace cannot bring you through, there is nothing that the Blood of Jesus cannot remove, there is nothing that He cannot heal, by His Name and through His Blood! And there is nothing that the God of restoration cannot not bring back to life. There is nothing that is too big or too challenging that our GREAT God cannot not do for us to bring us up and out, move us forward, deliver us from, or turnaround!
Psalm 112: 7 says, "He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord."
In 2026, we are choosing Word over worry, faith over fear, and courage over compromise. As your pastors, we are believing that staying fixed on the Word will produce strength, confidence, and a deep awareness of God’s presence in every area of our lives. Thank you for walking this journey with us—we are excited to see all that God will do this year as we "stay fixed on the word of God".
With much love and great expectation,
Pastors Bruce & Sheila Rhodes
