1 Corinthians 12:21 (NKJV)
And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
1 Corinthians 12:24–25 (NKJV)
...But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
God designed the body of Christ with precision. Each part of the body has a specific place so that the body is able to do the perfect will of God at all times.
We can cause the body to get out of alignment when think more highly of ourselves than we should or fail to care for other members in the body.
If you have ever been to a Chiropractor you can get a sense of what being out of alignment and getting realigned means. It is not a good thing to be out of alignment. Just one pinched nerve in the back can lay you out for weeks!
Each part of our physical body is equally important as is each member of the body of Christ. When we are in fellowship with one another, caring for each other and esteeming each other the way that God esteems us, we are in alignment. We are a vessel of supply to the rest of the body.
We need one another!
There are 89 times in the NKJV version of the New Testament where we see the term "one another". This is significant because we are made a part of the Body of Christ to do life together.
To "fellowship" with the body of Christ is more than just attending a service or Bible Study or prayer group, it is consciously considering one another to care for one another.
Prayer for today:
"Heavenly Father, I take responsibility as a member of Your body empowered by Your Spirit to care for other members of Your body. I invite You to use me as a vessel to flow through to supply strength and virtue to the rest of the members. I choose to love others like You love me. I choose to release Your power through me and align myself with your perfect will in order to build up the body of Christ today."
And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”
