Honor and reverence give God and His Word their rightful weight in our hearts. As we grow in the fear of the Lord, honor builds trust, strengthens our confidence in God, and causes our faith in His Word to grow. The more completely we trust Him, the more steadfast, secure, and stable we become—because “in the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence” (Proverbs 14:26).
