Discerning His Voice

God leads and enlightens us through our human spirit, not our intellect or emotions, because the spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord. We must learn to recognize and follow the inward witness of the Holy Spirit within our own spirit. True spiritual maturity comes from drawing out God’s counsel from within, discerning His voice through His Word and His Spirit, rather than through fear, logic, or external circumstances.
