Day 13 - Build The Ark

As we pray and fast we are preparing ourselves for 2025 and everything that God has for us in this new year. We know that God wants more for us in 2025 because he always causes us to grow and increase so that we can be fruitful and multiply. And as we are resetting ourselves in our spirit, souls and body, we are preparing for more.

 We took a few days to look at the widow woman that was in a desperate situation where she needed help, or she was going to lose her sons. Now, let’s look at another example of someone having to prepare for a new phase that God was moving them into.

The account of Noah is found in Genesis 6-9
 
Noah was someone who knew God and worshipped God. God spoke to him and prepared him for what was up ahead.

God instructed Noah to build the ark so that He could bring mankind and all the animals out of a corrupt situation where wickedness ruled the earth and so that He could establish a new covenant with man.

 God told him that He was going to flood the earth and that it would be destroyed. He was preparing him and his family for something new.

God began to speak with Noah about the Ark about 100 years before it actually started to rain.
 
Imagine how Noah had to be a man of faith and discipline to obey the Lord for nearly 100 years!

Let’s look at the key scripture in the account of Noah

“So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him.” (Genesis 6:22)

Noah prepared for the new by obeying everything that the Lord told him to do. (Don’t forget that it didn’t happen overnight…it took him about 100 years of work.)

Obedience to the Lord prepares us for the new thing that He has prepared for us.

God provides safety, protection and direction to those that are diligent to obey His instructions.

Here’s a confession for today:

 I am quick to obey all that the Lord is telling me to do from His word and by His Holy Spirit.
 
My obedience is preparing me to thrive in 2025

Just like Deuteronomy 28:8 says that the Lord will bless you in all that you set your hand to do. We're praying for you.
