Your Word Revives Me

Your Word Revives Me

Psalm 119:50  “This is my comfort and consolation in my afflictions:  That Your Word has revived me and given me life.”

When a person carries unresolved hurt, bitterness, grief, fear, offense, continual stress or disappointment, it begins to erode the deepest places of their strength.  Their peace weakens, their courage fades and hope grows dim.  Weariness sets in and emotions become so fragile and discouraged everything becomes overwhelming.

In Psalm 6:2, David is crying out to the Lord because he is hurting so badly internally, emotionally, and physically;  But David doesn’t stay in that place.  He continuously reminds himself how the Lord brought him up and out of one situation after another;  How the Lord strengthened and sustained him;  Psalm 34:20 and Psalm 35:10, “You keep my bones from being broken” and “All my bones will say, Who is like the Lord to deliver me….”

When God heals, He rebuilds the inner framework.  He places strength back into the places that have been worn down and depleted.

Confession:
I refuse to allow fear, bitterness, sorrow, or anxiety to rot the strength within me. Jehovah Rapha is healing my heart, restoring my peace, renewing my mind, and bringing life to my flesh.

This is encouraging and helpful!

nDavid speaking of his broken bones reminds me, that a broken spirit dries up the bones.

nAgreeing with Gods word and speaking them out loud begins the restoration. Then choosing to act out the joy given us by the Holy Spirit is Living in victory.
