Healing Words

Proverbs 16:24  “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the body.”  
 
We don’t just want kind words spoken, we want God’s Word spoken.  They are health and healing to our physical bodies.  The word for “health” here in verse 24, in Hebrew really translates to “medicine or cure”.  
God compares life-giving words to a honeycomb.  In Biblical times, honey wasn’t just sweet, it was strengthening and medicinal.  It was unfiltered, not processed by heat and therefore contained many of the vital healing nutrients missing in today’s honey.  
Just as honey nourished and revived the body, God’s Word nourishes and revives the whole person.  
 
When we speak God’s powerful Word filled with faith over our situations we WILL see change.  It may not be instantaneous, but we start the process right then and there by speaking God’s Word.  
Words filled with faith, truth and life are NOT empty sounds….. They become medicine to our physical bodies and our mind.  What we continually hear and what we continually speak feeds our hearts!
 
Declare:  “God’s Word is sweet to my body and my mind.  His Promises are medicine to my body, and Healing is working in me.”
