Follow God's Instructions

Follow God's Instructions

II Kings 5:11  “But Naaman was angry and went away and said, Behold, I thought he will surely come out to me and stand and call on the Name of the Lord his God and strike his hand over the place and recover the leper.”

There are times when we are seeking God for an answer, especially where healing is concerned, we often try to figure out how God is going to do it.  Sometimes we may even slide in there and try to help him, by doing research on line, finding a description to the symptoms, or reviews on this medication etc. Because, we want to feel better now, and when is it going to happen….

In the Scripture above we see that Naaman became very angry with Elisha because he didn’t come and do what Naaman thought he should have done.  As you continue to read this account, we see that through the encouragement of his servants, Naaman obeyed the instructions of Elisha and the result was that the leprosy on his skin was healed.

The basis for faith concerning healing is not how we “feel” when hands are laid on us, or when we pray with another person, or we just pray and ask God ourselves for healing.  Our anchor of faith needs to be in the instructions from the Word of God, we don’t want to miss the supernatural by looking for the spectacular.

Declare:  My faith is based and anchored on the Word of God.  I will follow god’s instructions and be blessed with the results that He has promised.
