The Sound Mind

Proverbs 14:30  “A sound heart is life to the flesh; But envy is rottenness to the bones.”  NKJV

“Peace of mind means a healthy body….”
“A peaceful heart gives life t the body…….”
“A sound mind is life to the flesh….”
“The health of the heart and mind is life to the flesh….”
 
God never intended His children to live with minds consumed by fear, worry, torment, confusion or despair.  He is Jehovah Rapha, The Lord our Healer our Great Physician.  And His healing reaches far beyond the body into the deepest places of our hearts and minds.  As the verse above states, “A sound mind is life to the body…” The word “sound” comes from a Hebrew “marpe” word meaning: Healing, cure, tranquility, and healthy mind.  This word is directly linked to “rapha”  to heal.  God’s wants our minds to be whole, peaceful, stable and at rest.  When our heart and mind are healed, the body is greatly benefited, because they directly affect each other.  When the mind is at peace and healed, the body is at peace and will experience healing.  
Peace strengthens the body;  Fear weakens it.  God’s Word ministers and gives life to our flesh, our mind, heart and entire bodies.  
 
We could say this verse like this:  “A heart and mind that have been healed by the Healer produces life in the body.”
Let’s make this personal:  “My heart and mind are healed by Jehovah Rapha my Healer and it’s producing life in my body.”
