By His Stripes

1 Peter 2:24  “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the cross, by whose stripes you were healed.”  
 
Peter wrote these words after the resurrection, as he was looking back at what Jesus had already accomplished at Calvary.  Notice the language:  “You were healed”.  God’s provision for healing was secured through Christ’s sacrifice.  While symptoms may speak loudly, faith chooses to agree with God’s Word above the circumstances.  We do not deny facts, but we exalt the Truth of Scripture above every contrary report.  Healing is not based on what we feel, it’s based on What Christ has done.  
 
Declare:  “Because of Jesus Christ’s finished work, healing is mine and I stand firmly upon His Word.”
