Unspoken Expectations Create Unnecessary Frustration

Proverbs 13:10  “By pride and insolence (arrogance & disrespect) come only contention, but with the well-advised is skillful and godly Wisdom.”  
 
Many conflicts are not caused by intentional wrongdoing, but by silent expectations that were never met and many times un-communicated.  People cannot consistently meet expectations that they do not know exist.  
 
Wisdom communicates clearly instead of assuming others should automatically discern our thoughts preferences, frustrations or emotional needs.
 
Pride often says:  
·      "They should already know"
·      "I shouldn’t have to say it…”
·      "If they cared, they would figure it out.”
 
But healthy relationships are built on humility, clarity, truth, patience and honest and open communication.  Especially marriages;  spouses, talk openly to each other, you have invested so much, and so has Jesus!  
 
Wisdom Statement:  “Silent expectations often produce loud disappointments.”
