Fear Speaks Defeat

Fear Speaks Defeat

Mark 5:36  “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said…..“Do not be afraid, only believe.”

Wisdom Statement:  Jesus immediately interrupted fear with faith:  “Do NOT be afraid, only believe.”

Fear often speaks first, but it does not have the final word.  When Jairus received the news that his daughter had died, Jesus immediately answered fear with faith.  Why?  Because fear and faith move in opposite directions.

Fear expects defeat, but faith expects God to move.

Wisdom chooses to agree with God’s Word rather than circumstances.  When fearful thoughts arise, answer them with the promises of God and refuse to let fear dictate your response.

Building Wisdom:  Don’t allow fear to have the last word;  Let God’s Word speak louder.

Prayer:  “Father, help me respond to every fearful thought with Your truth. Teach me to believe Your promises above what I see or hear. In Jesus' Name, Amen.”

Declare:  "I choose to believe God's report."
