Agreement Requires Communication

Amos 3:3  “Can two walk together except they be agreed?”
 
Philippians 2:2  “Be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.”  
 
Unity does not happen accidently, agreement requires communication, humility, patience and understanding.  Whether in marriage, ministry, friendship, family or our church community, relationships weaken when expectations remain hidden and assumptions remain unchecked.  
 
Many people desire agreement while avoiding the conversations necessary to create it.  Biblical agreement is not mind-reading.  It’s hearts aligning through truth, humility, communication and love.  
 
Even strong relationships require maintenance.  Misunderstandings happen no matter what the age.  Expectations shift; responsibilities and seasons change.  But wise people keep communication flowing, so small misunderstandings do not become large separations.  
 
The enemy loves division because divided people lose strength, effectiveness and peace.  But unity releases blessing, strength and stability.  
 
That’s why wisdom intentionally pursues understanding instead of silently collecting disappointments.  

A healthy relationship is not one without problems, it is one where both people are willing to communicate, forgive, adjust, and grow together.
