The Company That Put America On Wheels

On June 16, 1903, the Ford Motor Company was officially incorporated by Henry Ford and a small group of investors.  
 
At the time automobiles were considered a luxury that only the wealthy could afford.  Henry Ford had a different vision.  He believed that everyday Americans should have access to reliable, affordable transportation.  
 
That vision became a reality when Ford introduced assembly-line manufacturing.  That dramatically reduced the cost of producing automobiles.  What one seemed out of reach for so many, became available to millions of families.  
 
Ford’s success reminds us that great accomplishments often begin with a simple idea, a clear vision, and the determination to keep moving forward despite obstacles and setbacks.

More than a century later, the For Motor Company remains one of America’s most recognized manufacturers and a symbol of innovation and perseverance.  History reminds us that vision sees possibilities long before others see results.
