Faith Sees What Fear Cannot

Faith Sees What Fear Cannot

Hebrews 11:1  “Not faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Wisdom Statement:  Fear sees danger.  Faith sees deliverance.  Wisdom chooses faith’s perspective.

Faith does not deny reality; it simply acknowledges a greater reality. Fear sees the storm, but faith sees the Savior who walks on the water. Fear sees lack, but faith sees Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Fear sees weakness, but faith sees God's strength working in us. Wisdom continually reminds us that God is never limited by circumstances. The believer who walks by faith learns to expect God's intervention and goodness.

Throughout Scripture, faith enabled God's people to see beyond what was visible. Noah saw an ark before there was rain. Abraham saw descendants before he had a son. David saw victory before Goliath ever fell.

Faith looks beyond present circumstances and lays hold of God's promises. Fear asks, "What if things go wrong?" Faith asks, "What has God said?" Wisdom chooses to agree with God's Word even when natural circumstances suggest otherwise. When faith becomes our perspective, obstacles no longer appear greater than the God who has promised to bring us through.

Building Wisdom:  “Fear focuses on what is seen. Faith focuses on what God has said.”

Prayer:  “Father, help me see every situation through the eyes of faith. Teach me to trust Your promises above what I see, feel, or hear. Strengthen my confidence in Your faithfulness, and help me remain steadfast when circumstances attempt to challenge Your Word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.”

Declare:  "I walk by faith and not by fear. God's promises are greater than any circumstance I face."
